My parents had accidentally locked themselves out of their unit's safe box which held their keys and wallets, and just one quick message over to Jackie, she had already called someone to help unlock the box within the half hour. The communication and prompt helpfulness is what made Jackie truly stand out. A lot of rentals these days are managed by property management companies, but Jackie and her family take care of their properties like their own homes, and you could really tell the difference.
This home is quite literally steps away from the beach - we cannot stop raving about how great of a deal we got with this one! Prime location with an affordable rate - you can't beat that. My parents also kept comparing the beautiful beach on the front steps on this property, to all the other beaches they've been to, and they are sold that this is the best one yet.
Everything was clean, tidy, and we just had an unbelievable experience. We knew we wanted to be in Kihei for the weather, beaches and proximity to Molokini and this place was a FIND! First, I cannot say enough about Jackie as a Superhost. She was incredibly communicative and informative at every turn from inquiry to check-out. Moreover, given we were navigating the outbreak of COVID-19 back him, she extended us extra time in the condo with our fluctuating travel plans home which was fantastic. Upon check-in we received a welcome packet from Jackie electronically, chock full of local recommendations and ideas for excursions, restaurants, local bars etc. She was quick to respond with questions we had about the condo during our stay and was just a dream to work with - thank you Jackie!
The condo itself is equipped with everything you will need during your stay. The location is right across the street from the Kamaole Beach II which we went to multiple times a day. Jackie has provided beach umbrellas, beach coolers, beach chairs, boogie boards and tons of sand toys for little ones. The condo is so comfortable and perfect for two couples or (in our case) our family (my husband and me in the queen room and our two teenage girls in the room with two doubles). The kitchen has everything you need to cook, filtered water in the fridge, freezer has an ice-maker and there is ample coffee-making equipment, toaster oven, microwave etc. Each room of the unit has ceiling fans and A/C to control the temperature to your liking. LOVE the washer/dryer to minimalize packing and Jackie kindly stocks plenty of detergent for doing laundry.
The complex is a two-minute walk to shops, little grocery store, an incredible homemade cinnamon bun place with a line out the door each morning and some fun bars. Of course, nothing beats grabbing a sundowner and heading to the beach to watch the spectacular Maui sunsets. The complex has two swimming pools which were lovely when it was windy at the beach. Plenty of grills at each pool to share for meal prep. Honestly, I would stay here again in a heartbeat and can't wait to get back to Kihei to scuba dive, watch the whales breaching in the bay and soak in that wonderful sunshine. The added bonuses were the washer and dryer, which was used almost daily (soap was supplied), the coffee maker and coffee grinder, and the beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. Everything was good quality and in great shape. We cooked a few times while there and found the grills (3 at each pool) to be spotless. We had all of the pots and pans and and utensils we needed.
There are two pools on the property. The condo was in between the two and the walk to each pool was beautiful with all of the flowers and foliage along the way.
We communicated with Tracy, the property manager, before our stay and she was always very responsive to our questions about the accommodations, the area and gave great recommendations. We really didn’t need anything from her once we arrived as she gave us everything we needed up to that point.
The beach across the street from the condo was a great beach. Soft sand, a great view, plenty of room for everyone, a lifeguard station and was only a few minute walk from our place. Playing in the waves each day was a thrill!
The area has plenty to offer from additional beaches to restaurants and shopping. St Theresa Catholic Church was also only 10-15 minutes from the condo.
We snorkeled, golfed, traveled (and survived) the road to Hana, visited many beaches and ended our trip with the Old Lahaina Luau which was definitely worth the cost and the trip up the coast!

This location was perfect for everyone in our family. A two minute walk across the street to an amazing beach (Kamaole Park) that had clear waters, sugary sand, outdoor showers, picnic tables, a shaded area with trees and a lifeguard stand.
Out of the neighborhood to the right: amazing restaurants (Fred’s has amazing guacamole), shops (Rainbow Mall), snow cone and açaí bowl stand (Beach Street), grocery store (Hawaiian Moon) that has fresh squeezed juices, beach rentals (Aunties) best breakfast cafe on the island (Kihei Cafe) and so much more. You can totally keep your car parked at the garage and fulfill your whole day all within steps of your condo or relax on property.
My family and I enjoyed both pools on the property with clean amenities: a pool and hot tub at both pools, 3 gas grills with an outdoor sink and restrooms. One night we stayed at the pool and grilled while the kids relaxed in the pool. There’s plenty of tables to eat dinner poolside- so nice!
Inside the property was plenty of room to stretch out. There were 5 of us, but you could easily accommodate more. Everything was up to date and clean. I really liked that while traveling with my two sons who are in college, I felt like we had a sense of privacy yet still all be together. The second bedroom is like its own suite with a full bathroom, large television, 2 large comfortable beds, balcony, fridge and microwave.
The living/dining separated the two bedrooms with its own television, pull out couch and spacious kitchen with an island. The main bedroom also had its own en suite bath. I loved that each room had a large sliding glass door with balcony access.
But what stood out the most to me was the attentive, gracious and professional communication with the property manager, Tracy. We booked this trip a year in advance and from the beginning she answered every question we had thoroughly. Leading up to the trip we received communication in our inbox that was well thought out and prepared us for our week stay. We were also able to communicate with Tracy during our stay and her responses were quick. She has a great team and anything we needed they were very responsive.
Honorable mention to Doug as well. Being at a new property there were some things I didn’t know how to handle and he stopped by expeditiously to take care of those matters for us (like turning on the tv:).

We saw sea turtles everyday at the local beach. The place is very clean and has a full kitchen that made it easy to cook big meals for our family. TVs in every room and 2 bathrooms made it so that everyone had their own space and prevent any crowding.
Check in and out was a breeze and communication with the property manager was very easy and response time was very quick.

The unit was clean with several special touches. The tool box was nice as one of the sliding doors had a little squeak. A couple drops of oil took care of that! There were no surprises as the unit description at our booking time was all true. We stayed for 3 weeks and would book this unit again.

There were 6 of us who stayed in this unit during our stay and we were quite comfortable! It literally has everything you need, fridge, stove, microwave, french press, utensils, cups, plates, bowls, cooking ware, etc. The AC was a huge bonus and kept us very comfortable! This unit is located in the area of Kihei, which was absolutely wonderful. There are lots of fun shops and restaurants nearby, a beach across the road (although Big Beach is only a 15 minute drive away and it is much better!) and we found the area to be central to all the our points of interest! My husband + friends really loved the pool and hot tub for the evenings when it was dark.
The one thing I will caution people of is the parkade. We drove a large SUV to fit 6 people and the parkade was SUPER tight and the the ceiling height is short and sketchy when you are driving a big SUV. There is a parking lot at the end of the road in the complex...if you have a very large SUV, I recommend parking there instead!
Another thing I would like to mention is the host Tracy. I really cannot stress how efficient, kind and wonderful she was. My group was there during the time Hurricane Lane was expected to hit the island. She sent updates multiple times a day, every day. She was always quick to answer any questions and made us feel very comfortable. She even helped us find a place to stay, as our flights were delayed getting home due to the storm.
Tracy - thank you so so much for making an eventful trip even better. You are amazing!

We'd stayed at the Maui Banyan before, so we knew that this complex was perfect in terms of amenities (love Kam II & III across the street, the lovely pool facilities & outdoor grills, well maintained property, etc.).
Dale's place was well equipped with nearly everything we needed for the week for cooking and enjoying the beach (we did rent extra equipment for the 2 year old). The condo was consistent with pictures, no surprises, and the cleaning personnel were A++, my mother in law commented about how clean and fresh the place was. The in-unit washer/dryer was a lifesaver for us. The showers have great water pressure. The beds are on the soft-ish side of the spectrum (I like a very firm mattress) but still slept just fine. Any questions we had were responded to promptly
Note that there is an A/C unit in the living area, and the bedroom with 2 beds, but not in the queen bed room (though if you left the barn type doors to the living room open, I'm sure it'd help--we just didn't for privacy)--I'd put our kid in the room with 2 beds next time.

Our family was impressed by how accurate the listing information was with the real life experience. The newly renovated space is definitely the nicest condo in the resort in comparison to other units we saw when the doors were open for housecleaning.
There has been a lot of care and attention taken to make Dale's place a home away from home. The space was clean and there was nothing that we needed during our stay other than groceries and sundry items although many of those were in place for our use to start with. Our grown-up sons came with us on this trip and the adjoining room with its self-contained bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom was a perfect set-up for them.
Our check-in was after 11:00 pm due to the delay at the car rental place but once on site we were greeted immediately by a friendly security guard and directed to our accommodation with information as to where the unit was and where to park...very simple and much appreciated after a long flight! Throughout our stay any staff and groundskeepers we encountered were always friendly and courteous.
Dale's place is located in a great part of Kihei with Kamaole Beaches across the street and numerous restaurants and amenities close by. We took advantage of many of the sightseeing and activity tips Dale has compiled and found all of the suggestions well researched and very useful.
Although we never met Tracy, our booking and any queries were responded to very quickly and personably. Everything went according to plan.

Our entire group loved the decor and all the nice touches included with the recent renovation. The kitchen was well appointed and enabled us to cook dinner one evening instead of going out. The location made it very easy to get to the beach and other destinations in the Kihei/Waimea area. While we did not have the time to take advantage of all the beach items that Dale has on the patio, it was a thoughtful perk that I'm sure other groups will enjoy. Very spacious. The place is newly remodeled and looks great (just check out pics). Location is perfect with the beach right across the street (kamaole beach park), 1-min drive (or a walk for a bit) to a few places to eat (Fred's Mexican) short 5 mindrive away from wailea (shopping, more restaurants, andaz, 5 palms).
Communication with Dale was easy and reliable (quick response from him).
Check-in was super smooth. No issues at all and everything was as expected.
Place was fully set good to go when we arrived. Every detail seemed to have been thought through - for example kids' beach toys: it probably costs $10 or $15 but was super nice to have it there ready for us instead of having to go to a store). Beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards.
Everything is labeled at the place and all of the instructions are there that you won't need to contact the host for anything.
-Wifi was fast and reliable.
- All of the basic things and more to get you going were there.
- 2 balconies: 1 Spacious balcony and another a bit smaller one. We loved sitting out there to eat or drink.
- AC works great. Fans practically everywhere as well.
- kitchen stocked with silverware, dishes, cups, glasses - everything you need. New appliances.
- Parking was no problem in the garage right across from the condo.
Great stay and no issues at all.

It's within walking distance to restaurants, stores and most importantly, beautiful beaches. Just south of the condo, in Wailea, there are spectacular "hidden" beaches.
The condo is immaculate, well stocked and extremely comfortable. The "common" areas (pool, hot tub and grill stations) were a real plus to our stay. It was great to relax there after a long day of exploring!

The whole unit is so beautifully arranged and decorated, that it felt like a dream home away. Dale was so meticulous in labeling everything in the house that it felt like he was right there to explain everything and gave us a personal orientation. The house was filled with so much supplies and amenities that we never missed anything from our home.
The entire unit was totally remodeled and we are the first guests after the unit is reopened. Building shows its age a bit. Some beach equipment needs replacing. Appreciated the added touches of DVDs, kids books, kids toys, etc. Living room furniture is not that comfortable.
